This week in detailing has seen the announcement of new products from Black Magic Detail and Meguiars as well as the launch of an all new European Car Wash show. Chemical guys also announced the imminent arrival of a much awaited product and the detail of the week is a stunning black Range Rover Sport expertly detailed by TLC Detailing Ltd. Black Magic Detail Launch New Products
Black Magic Detail, the Fife based detailing product manufacturer (as well as detailers) have this week launched 2 new products to add to their line-up.
Adonis pre-wax cleanser is their non abrasive polish to remove contamination, oxidization and stains, created to be used by hand or dual action machine. It is available in yellow with a pineapple scent or as part of their compliments range with colours and scents to match their range of waxes.
The second product is Atlantis a luxurious car shampoo designed not to strip wax and with long-lasting bubbles and special lubricants to gently remove dirt and grime and give a very slick feel when washing. It is also in super concentrate form giving up to an amazing 1:1900 dilution ratio!
Chemical Guys Revolutionary Wonder Wash on way to UK
Chemical Guys have announced the much awaited Wonder Wash, part of their “Vintage Series” is soon to arrive in the UK, although no formal date has yet been announced. This new product is based on the latest Suspension Technology where millions of tiny oxygen-enriched bubbles trap dirt particles and safely lift them away from your car’s paintwork, leaving a clean and slick surface.
Wonder Wash is also formulated to be pH neutral as well as 100% biodegradable. This means that Wonder Wash is safe on most surface types including single-stage paintwork, base & clear coat paintwork and vinyl-wrapping, as well as being environmentally friendly.
Car Wash Show Europe Announced
International Carwash Association (ICA), the world’s leading organization for car wash professionals, this week announced the launch of the Car Wash Show Europe. The show will take place from 5 to 7 October 2015 at the RAI exhibition center in Amsterdam.
The aim of the show is to create a new and important biennial event for the professional car wash industry. It is not yet clear how much (if any) of the show will be dedicated to professional detailing but it should be one to watch the details of. More information can be obtained from their website.
Meguiars Announce New Product Availability
Meguiars UK this week sent out details to the trade of the availability of two new products added to their range. Their all-new Headlight Lens Correction Kit and the Meguiar’s Fine Cut Metal Polish.
The simple three-step Headlight Lens Correction Kit includes a 118ml bottle of Plast-RX, three double-sided sanding discs with four different grits (1800, 2400, 3200 and 4000) a premium Meguiar’s microfibre towel and a 28ml sample of Meguiar’s Headlight Protectant.
With a suggested retail price of £15.99, this affordable and easy DIY kit requires nothing more than the addition of a little elbow grease to effectively remove light oxidation, cloudiness, and fine surface scratches from your headlights.
The second of their new products is Meguiar’s Fine Cut Metal Polish aimed at taking the shine on Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Chrome and Stainless Steel to a whole new level. Fine Cut Metal Polish can be used by both hand or together with the Wheel Polishing tool.
Priced at £10.99 it is safe on Mag/Aluminum, Brass, Chrome Copper, Nickel and Stainless Steel finishes.
Both products have now started shipping to retailers across the country.
Detail Of The Week
This weeks detail of the week comes from TLC Detailing Ltd in Stirling, Scotland.
This now stunning Range Rover Sport benefited from full paintwork correction and was finished with Gtechniq EXO v2. Other work also included a caliper restoration, hub restoration in silver and a full wheel refurbishment (after powder coating they were also coated in Max Protect UNC-R). The external plastics were treated with Permanent Trim Restorer as well as Gtechniq G1 Glass Coating on the glasswork.
