Vehicles ‘need a thorough clean before summer’

Car cleaning brushes and swabs might prove to be an essential consideration for drivers, if recent suggestions are anything to go by.

Drivers have been offered a range of advice by not-for-profit organisation CAA South Central Ontario to make sure their vehicle is ready to enjoy "long weekends, cottage getaways and summer road trips".

These include ensuring windows and mirrors are kept clear, something a little car care may easily achieve.

While carrying out such maintenance, individuals might also be wise to take a closer look at other aspects of their motor and the corporation states: "Give your vehicle a thorough cleaning to remove salt and sand accumulated over the winter."

Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax, which people can make use of in direct sunlight, was recently recommended as a product those hoping to look after their vehicle should consider by the Globe and Mail's Rob MacGregor.
