Car carpet repair ‘can be a simple process’

When carrying out a car interior detailing job, it is important not to neglect the carpets.

According to an entry on CarJunky.com, removing stains from the carpet is not as time consuming or difficult a process as one might imagine.

The first step is to choose a good quality car shampoo for use on the interior and mixing one cap of this with a cup of water.

This mixture should then be applied to the stain and left to sit on it for around 20 minutes before being dabbed dry with clean microfibre cloths.

Following this, drivers should rinse the area with water and use another cloth to dab dry.

For particularly difficult marks, this process may have to be repeated a few times.

"Car carpet repair can be a very simple process. It shouldn't take long for you to have your car looking new again," the source added.

According to a post on the Smithtown Acura blog, interior detailing is a job worth doing and is as important as detailing the exterior.

Ah yes car carpeting. Obviously car carpeting is way harder to clean in cases of spills and I clearly remember getting lucky one time. A few friends of mine were drinking in the backseats (dumb i know) and they spilled the wine on my floor carpeting. I don’t remember clearly but I had something that looked marbly like Persian carpet so I got off pretty easy as the stain was cleaned with a bit of bleach and a lot of hard work. It was still a bit stained but thanks to the marbly model, it was barely noticeable.
