The plight of the lambswool wash mitt & how commodities markets affect the detailing world

September 9th, 2011

Lambswool wash mittOf the items that dropped through our letterbox yesterday was a price update from one of our suppliers. There weren’t too many shocks and surprises in it – except one – the trade price of the lambswool wash mitt had increased by 50% – over 10 times  the current rate of inflation! This reminded me of a graph I had seen recently from PJ over at Dodo Juice which showed a similar trend to that of the Australian fine wool prices shown below: Read the rest of this entry »

Meguiars Ulimate Paste Wax & PolishWith the arrival of the latest batch of new products from Meguiars for the 2011 detailing season we were keen to see how the new Meguiars Ultimate Wax and Ultimate Polish perform. March 17th, 2011

Clear Plastic Headlight RestorationIn this article we take a look at a subject affects nearly all cars owners at some point in time – that of Clear Plastic Headlight Restoration. These range from single stage polishes, two step cleaning and polishing compounds to multi-step restoration and protection kits. Read the rest of this entry »
