The difference between car waxes and car polishesThe two most regularly asked questions I receive are; “What is the best car polish to use to protect my car” and “What is the best car wax to use to polish my car”. Unfortunately these two questions demonstrate the big misconception in the general market place as to what can be achieved by the sole use of a car wax or sole use of a polish.

In this article I aim to dispel these misconceptions and help explain why, unless you have an immaculately and regularly detailed car you should not initially use one without the other and what benefits you will get from each. (more…)

Meguiars Ulimate Paste Wax & PolishWith the arrival of the latest batch of new products from Meguiars for the 2011 detailing season we were keen to see how the new Meguiars Ultimate Wax and Ultimate Polish perform. Step in Mark Beardmore, one of our regular customers who travelled across to pick some up as soon as they arrived to test out on Black 07 Ford Fiesta he was detailing later that day.

Before getting into the detail of the products themselves we must congratulate Meguiars on the quality of the packaging, not only do these products look good on the shelves in their new packaging, but they are also very sturdy and will have no problem in remaining intact when making their way through the post. Best Car Polishes for Black Cars

One of the most common questions we get asked is what are the best car wax, polish and detailing products for dark or light, black, blue, red, white, green etc coloured cars.

It is possible to get detailing products with pigments in them for each type of colour, but these are not really necessary and are not particularly long-lasting, simply disguising the problem rather than correcting it.

That said when you get into the more serious detailing products there are a number that are designed for or work really well on dark cars.
